Eco-Energy Lifestyle Project Conclusions

What change are you most proud of accomplishing?

Well, surely I’m proud of accomplishing the challenge of having eating habits and it makes me proud to tell the world I did it and with no trouble. I’m also proud because I decided to use less water meanwhile I took a shower. It makes me proud that in my school we’re able of learning this and for it to be of my concern, learn to take care of the planet, and enjoy meanwhile I’m doing it.

What kept you from accomplishing more?

The amount of things I had to do surely was one reason that kept me from accomplishing more in my challenges. Also, I used to forget I had a goal to accomplish so it was kind of hard to keep it up. It was difficult to do more because at the beginning I didn’t appreciated the time I had and I just saw this as homework so I was not interested at all and lost a lot of opportunities to accomplish even more.

How did friends and family react to your work on the project?

Well, my parents weren’t that happy at the beginning. My complaining about the project made them have a different point of view. They saw this as an assignment because that was the way I talked about the project. Later on, they realized I was doing wrong and told me to enjoy doing this because in college will not be the same and that I’m going to wish have this type of projects. Anyway, complaining wouldn’t do my homework so they just gave me courage to finish it up. My friends as an assignment and even though at the end I realized it wasn’t just an assignment, they still thought about it as a homework.

Will you keep the changes you made or try to make other changes?

I would definitely try to keep these changes, because at my age I should already have done something to take care of my planet but I haven’t. And when I grow up, I want for my kids to learn to take care of what God has gave us since an early age and not be careless about a very important and serious topic.
