Journal Entry #2 - Making a difference

Last week, I collected some information on how much electricity I use, on how were my eating habits, how much water I wasted and so on… I figured out that I wasn’t eating efficiently, so I decided that my goal for this week was to eat efficiently. It was kind of hard for me because I was already used to eat junk food and not consuming any kind of fruits or vegetables. The following thing may sound awkward for you but it’s the truth so here I go. My dad’s job is to buy outside the country and resell fruits and vegetables here in Honduras, so fruits and vegetables are practically free for us but we are not used to eat that much of it. So many people wish fruits and vegetables were free for them but it’s not and my siblings and I don’t appreciate that. This week I was taught, by doing this project, to value what we have and others don’t. So, if you’re asking yourself if I achieved my goal for this week let me tell you I did and I enjoyed every single second of it. This project has taught me how to keep our planet safe and to appreciate what I have. It has been a blessing for me.
